“Live Animation Cinema,” invented and developed by the group sputnic visual arts, enables new forms of storytelling in the theater. While an animated film depicts a story on screens, the production of this film unfolds simultaneously directly beneath them – the narrative intertwines with its virtuoso creation, which in turn influences the story. For the first time, sputnic's artistic animations encounter musical theater. A silent film with singing, a concert with a plot, an animated film with Baroque instruments – more important than the genre designation, however, is the story of the great lover Dido, who, thanks to the interplay of score and animation, can move freely between times and places.
